TTC subway, Bloor/Danforth Line, 9:05 AM

Caucasian woman, late 30s, black sunglasses, tan overcoat, sensible up-do, classic but slightly overdone make-up, dangled earrings, rose pashmina, black leather attache, one baubled ring on right hand.

The English Patient, Michael Ondaatje (McClelland & Stewart, 2006)

Appeared to be about 10 pages in, near bottom of lefthand page:

He crouched by the burned man. He made a skin cup with the soles of his feet and leaned back to pluck, without even looking, certain bottles. With the uncorking of each tiny bottle the perfumes fell out. There was an odour of the sea. The smell of rust. Indigo. Ink.

OK, I finished reading every one of your posts ~ very nice work! (this was the last one. or the first one that you made, I guess you can look at it both ways?)

Take care, and keep observing!
