Holy Hanna...

...what a day for reading. This morning, subway car full to the rafters, I swear, a quarter of the passengers were reading books. Now I understand why publishers don't advertise on the TTC. It's not that it's expensive, it's that their key demographic is distracted!

I like the poetry that they have up with the advertisements. They had them in Kitchener-Waterloo when I lived there, too.

Even when I have no book (yeah, like that happens) I can read!

I saw an ad for a book a while back, maybe two Christmases ago. It was for a book of Canadian facts and figures.

I bought it for my mom.

Oh yes...what was that? It was edited by Jane Farrow of CBC, I think. Yah, I remember looking at that a lot. And I know Tundra just ran an ad recently. Really, it's such a captive audience...

August, I like the poetry too. Sometimes it will be a year later, it seems, and I'm finally in a place where I "get it." There's one that plays out over the space like a wave. Have you seen that one? Makes for good, lazy rocking reading...
