I was thinking about how you describe each person before you mention their book and whatnot...what about if you mention what their bookmark is too? Since discovering your blog I've been looking to see what other people are reading (when I'm not myself of course) and I find myself noticing their bookmarks as well.
I once envisioned this space looking a bit like one of those ads in the back of papers. You: Orange t-shirt, faded jeans and green Pumas. Me: Blah, blah, blah. We were both waiting to hear when the next shipment of soy milk would arrive. Is it just me or was there a spark?
As for the bookmarks, absolutely, if I can see what it is I note it. I'm actually surprised at the lack of bookmarks. I like a good bus transfer or stickie note. My favourite is the fella from one of the earlier entries who appeared to be using something his young child had made for him. That was nice!
