Any idea if it will wind up on the Words at Large podcast? I want to listen in, but I won't have that option while it airs.
Maybe mention it to them? I dunno.
Look forward to it. I've since mentioned your site to a few other people whose books have at times made them victims of missed subway and streetcar stops and end-of-the-line angst ...
Hey August, thanks for the tip. I'll certainly mention it!
Hi Paul. I've seen a few mad dashes just as the doors are closing. The other day a fella lurched just in time and dropped not the book he was reading but yet another book! Buddy had two on the go! That's dedication...
Hey, I just heard you on CBC. Great interview, and cool concept! I read on the Metro (Montreal), and I'm always looking around to see what other people are reading. I love this idea of wrapping those observations in another layer of story.
Yay, someone heard it! There's been some confusion here in Toronto.
YAY, someone heard it!!!
Hi Julie,
I also heard your interview on CBC while I was driving and I thought it was so different and very interesting. I couldn't wait to get home and log onto your blog site to read some other entries! You're very creative, and I'll be telling my friends about your site.
Sincerely,
Erin
Thanks Erin! I really appreciate it.
I had a great sighting today, something that made me feel really good about all this. I actually talked to someone and you could tell it made his day. I'll post it tomorrow!
Cool interview Julie! I am curious though, is your stream of consciousness always biographical or do you sometimes indulge in the imaginative?
I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's a strange feeling to know that others have heard my voice when I have yet to...
To answer the question, to my mind it's all imaginative. To speak to the *process*, overwhelmingly, it's non-biographical in the sense that you couldn't draw a distinct line between my "responses" and my life. In some cases, yes. And...I hesitate to add, those are most often the posts that people respond to.
Can we get the interview online somewhere, J? I didn't get to hear it. G
I emailed someone to ask if it would, by chance, be considered for the Words at Large podcast. No word yet, but I'll check out the podcasts to see if it gets picked up anywhere else. Udderwise, me no know.
